The Ministry of Panchayati Raj announced the launch of the PESA Portal and PESA Indicators during PESA Mahotsav 2025.
What is the PESA Portal?
A digital platform for dissemination of information and monitoring implementation of the Panchayats (Extension to Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996.
PESA Indicators
- Designed to assess implementation status across States
- Enable evidence-based monitoring of PESA provisions
Additional Initiatives
- Training modules on PESA in tribal languages
- Special Gram Sabhas across all 10 PESA States

- Enacted under Article 243M(4)(b)
- Applies to Fifth Schedule Areas in 10 States
